		<description>Yeah, I loved the art, but sorta felt no compulsion to care about the characters.  Even Mercer himself, we have no sense of who he is, and he&#039;s driven by his love for the missing Juliet, but why?  Who&#039;s she?  What was their relationship?  The story is a fun roll through the noir conventions, but you&#039;re right -- obstacles are set up and overcome, plot points and the expected elements are presented at the expected times.

Still ... I enjoyed it, because there are good bits of writing.  I want to read &quot;12 Reasons,&quot; because I love the art and suspect Rich will do much better when he&#039;s not trying to bend himself to the noir requirements.</description>
