I'll have to check this one out. I had read his first collection, The Pushman, and was surprised by how misogynistic many of the stories were. Lots of timid guys whose worlds were turned upside down by heartless women. Despite this, I still enjoy them as a cultural artifact, plus his cityscapes are beautiful. I'm curious to see how his storytelling advanced over the years.
