I don’t know if you’ve read it already, but I would also recommend Brandon Graham’s King City, from Tokyopop. It’s a similar style of book, with more of the same type of fascinating worldbuilding and cool sci-fi ideas. It was the first Graham book I read, and I’m hooked now; he’s awesome.
